How to delete your account
Crimson is operated by Driftline Ventures LLC. You can delete your Crimson account and all associated data at any time, free of charge, in either of these ways:
- In the app (fastest): Open Crimson, go to Settings, scroll to the account section, and tap Delete account. Confirm when prompted. Your account and all associated cloud data are deleted immediately.
- By email: Send a request to support@getcrimson.app from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line "Account deletion". We will delete the account and confirm by reply, normally within 7 days.
What gets deleted
- Your account profile and sign-in record (held by our authentication provider, Clerk)
- All cloud-synced health data: period and cycle history, daily logs, symptoms, moods, fertility data, pregnancy and perimenopause tracking data, and AI chat history
- Your preferences, streaks, and app settings stored with your account
What is kept, and for how long
- Nothing identifiable is retained. Once deletion completes, no personal or health data is kept on our systems. Residual copies inside our infrastructure providers' encrypted backups expire on their normal rotation schedules and are not restored.
- Crash reports (Sentry) never contain your name, email, account identifiers, or health data, so there is nothing to delete.
- Data on your device stays until you delete the app or clear its data; uninstalling removes it.
- Subscriptions: deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel first in your Google Play or App Store account settings if you have an active subscription; refunds are handled under the store's policies.
